Soybean Side Effects – Mad About Soy

Not because I hate soy but because I hate the way the Soy industry has lied to us and poisoned us for profit. You must read Kaayla T. Daniels's book The Whole Soy Story to truly understand the history and damaging effects of soy. The book contains many compelling testimonials, about the dangers of soy, from real people. The serious health problems caused by heavy soy consumption are unbelievable. Soybeans are a cheap, crappy, hard to digest, food source with many harmful side effects. Once again you have been lied to and I will not tone down the truth so corporations can market waste products as health food. I know what you're thinking. If soy is so bad then how come most people think it is good? This is why:

First of all, the origins of soybean use, 3000 years ago, in ancient China, Japan and Indonesia came out of poverty and famine. The soybean did not serve as a food until the discovery of fermentation techniques.1 Soybeans were used for crop rotation to add nitrogen to the soil.

They were not eaten.

These ancient peoples would have rather eaten fish and meat they just did not have enough. Soy Protein or Tofu evolved as a poor man's meat substitute. It was discovered that fermenting the soybeans gave them a better flavor, made them more edible and medicines could be created from the soybeans-like Nattokinase. It is the fermenting of soy that makes it healthy in small quantities. This fermentation of foods has been used since ancient times to preserve food and create medicines from food, and is known as "Alchemy" .2

The Chinese did not eat unfermented soybeans because of the large quantities of natural toxins or "antinutrients" that can cause serious gastric distress, reduced protein digestion and conditions of the pancreas including cancer.1 Unfermented soy is not healthy at all and large quantities, such as the levels currently consumed in America, is very detrimental to our health. It has been linked to hypothyroidism, early puberty in children, loss of testosterone, and many other hormone related health problems.2 The American soy industry took the unfermented soybean, genetically modified it and bastardized it into an unhealthy food that nature never intended. What is further compounding the problem is the relentless multi-billion dollar marketing campaign to convince us that soy is health food and we should eat it in quantity.

"Marketing costs money, especially when it needs to be bolstered with" research ", but there are plenty of funds available. Soybean producers pay $ 80 million annually to support United Soybean 's program to" strengthen the position of soybeans in the marketplace and maintain and expand domestic and foreign markets for uses for soybeans and soybean products. "Private companies like Archer Daniels Midland also contribute their share. ADM spent $ 9 million for advertising during the course of a year." 1 ADM is, of course, the corporation that brought us Hydrogenated Soybean Oil or "Trans Fats". The marketing is working. "Sales from soy milk alone have risen from $ 2 million in 1980 to over $ 300 million in the US last year." 1

The best marketing strategy for a product that is inherently unhealthy is, of course, a health claim. 1

Claims that eating soy can "lower cholesterol levels" and "reduce cancer" have been approved by the FDA after heavy lobbying and "alleged research" from the soy industry supposedly proving a health benefit. The opposite is actually true. Soy contains "antinutrients" that are toxic and carcinogenic to the human body.2

Soy protein (Tofu) is the spoogy waste leftover from making soybean oil. This sludgy byproduct from the soy oil industry was considered a waste product and animal feed until recently. By the way, animals do not like soybeans either and will only eat them when they are starving to death.

When I first started weight training I picked up a tub of vanilla flavored soy protein powder and started chugging down some chalky, ill tasting shakes with glee. I thought I was doing myself a big favor but little did I know I was actually reversing any chance of muscular gains. Scanning through a recent "Muscle Magazine" I saw an article supposedly reviewing the different protein powder supplements available on the market today. The article pictured animated protein tubs with friendly faces on them and the names "Soy", "Whey", "Casein" and "Egg". Whey and Soy were portrayed as the best choice for health, low cost and nutritional value. Now listen carefully to what I am going to tell you next. THEY ARE LYING TO YOU! Whey and Soy protein are waste products from the food industry, cleverly disguised as "health food" and heavily marketed to the American consumer.

Soy Protein Isolate is a heavily processed product. A slurry of soybeans is acid washed and then mixed with an alkaline solution. Acid washing in aluminum tanks leaches high levels of aluminum into the final product. The curd is then dried at high temperatures completely denaturing the final product and making the protein ineffective and drastically altered from what nature intended. Animals on soy feed have to actually be given lysine supplements for normal growth.2

Do not trust Men's Fitness magazine either . "Open a copy and you will find pages and pages of full color ads for soy based candy bars and instant beverages promoted as a way to create the macho man with perfect abs. Sadly-ironically-most issues contain the requisite article advising these super- built Lotharios how to have great sex. Were men's Fitness to warn it's readers about the fact that soy lowers testosterone levels in men, advertising revenues would dry up and the magazine would fold. "2 (Kaayla T. Daniel)

Tear up your Fitness and Muscle Magazines that are filled with lies and eat a delicious steak or fish dinner.

Maybe you have heard of Edamame, the new "healthy" baby green soybean pods. While eating at a local Sushi restaurant recently I noticed tables of customers around me happily munching on Steamed Edamame appetizers. Surely this must be good, right? Wrong! Edamame is crap too! The good news is these baby soybeans still in the pod are tender and more palatable. They also contain less of the harmful plant estrogens that diminish testosterone. So I would compare them to light cigarettes. They are much less harmful than regular soybeans that are loaded with anti-testosterone hormones!

Supporters of Soy debunk milk and supporters of milk (from pastured animals) debunk soy. They are both right and they are both wrong. Small amounts of milk from pure pastured animals would be nice and ideal but not necessary. Small amounts of fermented soy products like Nattokinase and Miso prepared the ancient way are OK and considered medicine in the East.

If you are not eating organic, you should know that 99% of the non-organic soy we eat is genetically modified and has one of the highest percentages of contamination by pesticides of any of our foods.1 This processed, genetically modified "American Soy "that we know, is poisoning us and causing illness and disease.

Soy Protein excellent for lowering Testosterone

Eating Soy protein causes lowered Testosterone levels. This is especially troubling to men and bodybuilders. To a bodybuilder, soy protein is like Kryptonite! The plant estrogens will rob you of your manhood, shrink your muscles and lower your sex drive. Ancient monks used to eat extra tofu to help them to easily maintain their vows of celibacy.2

Vegetarians who consume tofu and bean curd as a substitute for meat risk severe mineral deficiencies. The results of calcium, magnesium and iron deficiency are well known; those of zinc are less so.1 I met someone recently who was vegetarian and ate lots of tofu because she "loves animals". For gods sake do not eat a waste product from a crappy bean because you love animals! Love animals and eat raw nuts, "quality" beans and maybe some eggs. I love and respect animals as well and I am often astounded by the awesome beauty of nature's wild creatures. Humans, however, did not rise to the top of the food chain just to step aside and eat tofu because we love animals. I love them, respect them and eat some of them too!

Dump your milk down the sink! Spit your Tofu out the window! Throw your milk and soy products in the dumpster today and be healthier tomorrow!

DIY Butcher Block Oil Recipes

Restoring the luster of your wooden cutting boards and butcher blocks is easy and inexpensive! There are many products on the market you can use that come in fancy packaging, but it is easy to prepare your own DIY product. Keeping your cutting boards conditioned prolongs their life and keeps them sanitary so it's good to have something on hand for regular use. This article shares three very easy recipes for treating your butcher boards when they have become dry, need refinishing, or repair.

You will need:

Food grade mineral oil

Beeswax

Scale

Container – glass jars and old coffee cans work great

Pot – to use as double boiler

Sanitized stir stick – wooden ones work great

Always start with an impeccably clean and super dry butcher board. Wash it down with vinegar the night before and let it air dry while you sleep. The next morning, condition your clean dry board using one of the following methods.

The first method is not really a " recipe" at all. It's just plain old food grade mineral oil. There are loads of different ideas out there on which oils go rancid and which oils are best to use. In general, food grade mineral oil is considered the best all around oil to use on your wooden cutting surfaces. It is odorless, colorless, inexpensive, and most definitely will not go rancid. It can be easily found at your local hardware store or drug store. To treat your butcher board with mineral oil gently rub warmed oil onto the wood and allow it to soak in. Get your oil warm, not hot. If you are like me and do not have a "nuker", simply use a double boiler on the stove top. Just be careful as the oil is obviously flammable. This is a great regular treatment to keep your board conditioned.

The second recipe is for a creamy board oil or "Dream Cream" as I call it. This is a rich mixture of mineral oil and beeswax. Adding beeswax to your oil increases its water resistance and adds a very slight luster to the finish. Parafin can also be used. It is odorless and much less expensive; however, I personally prefer beeswax. This is a great treatment for a board that has become very dry or has been sanded down for refinishing. The recipe calls for 9 parts food grade mineral oil to 1 part beeswax.

Measure out 1 part wax to 9 parts oil. Wax beads are available or you can shave wax pieces off a block like I did.

Heat the oil and wax slowly until the oil is warm and the wax has melted. Make sure to stir and incorporate the wax as it melts.

Pour a little of the melted product onto your butcher board and rub it in making sure to get all surfaces, especially the cut edges. Allow it to soak in before using the board to prepare food. The consistency of this recipe is a little like hair gel after it cools a bit and gets firmer as it gets colder. It will melt into the board like butter as you apply it. It can be used warm or cold; However, I think it works better and faster when it's warm.

The third recipe is for a paste style "board wax". This is a rich ultra fat mixture of oil and beeswax. It is thick and waxy and offers loads of water resistance once the wax has hardened. It can be buffed to a soft luster and looks beautiful. Use this recipe as a polishing paste or crack filler. Keeping the occasional cracks and knife marks filled extends the life of your board!

This recipe is 4-5 parts food grade mineral oil to 1 part beeswax. Heat the oil and incorporate the wax as above. Rub it into the board. Allow the oil to soak in and the wax to harden before buffing it out and preparing food on it. If used warm, this wax will spread a thinner layer. If used cold it is quite thick and pasty and will give you a heavier coating.

Your wood should be treated regularly to keep it from drying out and cracking! The treatment frequency and the type of butcher block oil you need to use depends on many variables; such as climate and how often your board is used and washed. You will have to be the judge. These "recipes" will not only beautifully condition your butcher board but will add to its lifetime. They will also keep indefinitely. Once you have a batch made up it will be easy to grab off the shelf and use all year long!

In the battleground of different brands the competitions among the brands are very worthy. In today's competition of the brands, there is a famous coffee candy brand called Vergnano in one corner while in other corner, the brand of coffee candy Lavazza stands as a rival or competitor of this brand. Let us have a brief description of both of these companies in the wide world of coffee candy business.

Vergnano History

This company came into existence in the year 1982 by the Domnico Vergnano with an opening of small grocery business in the city of Chieri located near the Turin region. He after getting permission from his ancestors, purchased a coffee plantation area in Kenya in 1930's and with this investment on the coffee plantation in Kenya, he raised his business into new heights by expanding it to three new warehouses in Alba, Turin and Cheri. Functions of Food Packaging

Food packaging is very common in the present time. Various food, ranging from fruits and vegetables, beverage, meat, to dried food, is packed for various requirements. In the long course of production, processing, and delivery, food is touched by so many hands before it is put on shelves for sales. If it is not properly packed, how can it get to target consumers in an intact manner? Other purposes of food packaging is to maintain freshness and quality of food and prolong the edibility period of food. Food is transported all the way to destination, with an aim of being enjoyed by more people. Thanks to convenient transport and advanced packaging, a full variety of delicious food can be shared by people of distinctly different geographies and out-of-season fruits and vegetables can be tasted whenever they are in need.

In addition to preventing damage to food and prolonging the edibility period of food, food packaging has other functions that are seldom mentioned by us. The following will introduce other significant functions of food packaging.

A best package design will serve to protect food quality and as well as attract customers. Not a product with bare packing or coarse packing will be favored by consumers no matter how the quality of the product is boasted. On the contrary, a normal-quality product will be favored if it is prettily packed. Experienced food manufacturers are likely to invest more effort on packaging design since it will generate additional economical benefits. Furthermore, a package is designed to facilitate circulation. Food, such as rice, milk, and drink is packed using bags, cans, bottles and other container-typed packages. They act as tools for food transfer, helping accelerate food circulation.

Liquid food is a kind of product that has special requirements for transport and storage. As we know, liquid food such as beverages and drinks easily leak out due to their fluidity. Alcohol may cause fire accidents in case of incorrect loading, unloading, or transport. Container-typed sealed bottles and cans are safe for storing these products. This liquid food packaging method also helps prevent loss of nutrients and evaporation of food, and protect the food from high temperature, high moisture, and excessive sun exposure.

Instant noodles are accepted worldwide by more and more professional career persons as a meal. This kind of food is characterized by quick preparation. The packaging of this food is designed to meet this characteristics. The easy opening, flavoring packets, and together with noodles inside enable you to prepare a meal within just a few minutes. Packaging of other fast food such as quick freezing dumplings and fried chickens is also for the sake of convenience.

Reality View with In, food packages are On of used for : many practical functions. You may find these packages can be recycled and they are helpful in your daily life. A can may be used as a custom flowerpot to grow little plants, therefore saving money; and a pretty box may be used to hold little things, facilitating you to find them. What extent they can be reused depends on how you discover their potential functions and put them into reality.

How Hospital Cafeterias Are Increasing Retail Revenue

Hospitals retail areas find themselves under increasing pressure to meet revenue goals

Faced with rising costs and financially challenging times, healthcare organizations are increasingly looking to their retail areas as an additional source of revenue generation. Although hospital foodservices operations are well known for providing patient meals, most if not all are also responsible for the retail side of foodservice operations at their onsite cafeteria, snack bar and or coffee bar. Tasked with growing their revenue contribution to the hospital, many Directors of Foodservices and Cafeteria Managers are taking creative steps to increase patronage. Increasing employee participation, enticing members of the local community, and tailoring their food and beverage offerings to the needs and culinary preferences of patrons are all goals of aggressive foodservices operators.

Grab and Go

In a busy healthcare environment, speed is key! That's why over the past few years, many hospital cafeterias have redesigned their space to accommodate new coolers stocked with appetizing pre-packaged food choices; ranging from yogurt and fruit parfaits, to sandwiches and salads. These portable food options offer a highly convenient and fast way for busy healthcare workers to quickly grab something to eat or drink while on the run. The pre-packaging also enables staff to bring these items back to their desk or another area for consumption at a place other than the cafeteria. When used with a POS system and bar coded labels, check out of these grab and go items at the point of sale takes only a few fast seconds.

Dining Experience

Many healthcare facilities have renovated their cafeterias to offer a more appealing restaurant-like dining experience to attract employees, visitors and guests. Their goal is to entice hospital workers to remain onsite for lunch instead of seeking off site alternatives, appeal to visitors, and in some cases attract the local community. To accomplish this, Foodservices Directors are not only creating a visually appealing dining area, but also are hiring highly talented and experienced restaurant chefs with a flair for engineering new and delicious menus. Using a POS system with menu item performance tracking gives the chefs a clear picture of which menu items are performing well, and which should be removed from the menu rotation.

Employee payroll deductions

Managed through a Point of Sale System as an employee payroll deduction to be deducted from a future pay check, the ability to make a retail purchase by scanning the employee badge already carried by the healthcare worker is seen to be a valuable benefit and convenience. When employees can present the badge they already carry as a form of payment, they no longer have the need to carry cash or credit cards as they move about the facility. Frequently, this convenience means the difference between having the time to enjoy a delicious meal versus a skipped lunch or breakfast. Cashless payment also translates into an increase in add on food and beverage purchases, when the employee does not have enough cash on their person to cover all the choices they'd like to make.

Credit card processing

It's not unusual for visitors to find themselves without cash on hand when visiting a patient in the hospital. We are all consumers accustom to paying for most everything with our debit or credit cards, and are therefore quite surprised to find out the hospital cafeteria does not accept credit or debit cards. Although most hospitals offer an onsite ATM, the inability to accept credit or debit card payments translates into a lost sale; and quite possibly a full tray of food left at the checkout counter because the visitor did not have a convenience payment option. The checkout process is a big part of the customer experience, so it is important that credit and debit card processing is fast and fully integrated with the cash register operations of the POS system.

Tips:
For couples who may have substantially brief planning durations, we suggest whichever of the following alternate options:
1. Develop an extreme "catch-up" strategy on wedding preparation work items for the amounts of time you have lost OR
2. Seek the services of a wedding event coordinator

Should you be lacking time and choose option (2), yet somehow do not wish to spend excessively for appointing a wedding coordinator, establish a selection of tasks that you believe you as well as your partner may take care of personally. I made hot dogs the same way pretty much for years. They were always okay, but nothing to brag about. I think maybe in the back of my mind, the lowly wiener was just not important enough to warrant creative input from my imaginative culinary side. Then one day, I decided to try something different.

As a youngster, I was taught to boil the wiener in water, put it in a bun, and squirt various condiments on top. But as I grew and advanced in culinary skills, I knew there had to be a way to improve on this method of cooking a hot dog.

Things that go great with hot dogs are: potato chips, baked beans, coleslaw, or potato salad.

This method of cooking the lowly wiener is now a regular thing around my house. My family loves them, and they really are good. Here's what you'll need:

* All beef wieners (you can eat that other "stuff" if you want, we only eat beef wieners; we also prefer bun length)
* Soft buns (you want fresh buns here, not stale, although you can steam stale buns back to life if you insist on using old bread – I have other uses for old bread such as Bread Pudding with Amaretto Sauce)
* Hot dog relish
* Sauerkraut
* Diced onions
* Mustard and ketchup
* Kraft shredded mexican style four cheese blend
* Hot dog chili sauce (Castleberry's is our favorite)
* Laura's homemade cole slaw
* Butter
* Tin foil
* Crock-pot
* Cast iron skillet

Now, you do not have to do everything the same way I do it. I am letting everyone know how I do it, and you can adjust as you see fit.

Please note the hot dogs need to spend some time in the crock-pot in order to be good, and the steaming method I mention below is great. Plan properly so the dog packets get to warm and meld inside their "packet" in the hot crock-pot. I normally make the dogs and allow them 45 minutes to an hour in the crock.

  1. About an hour before dinner, turn the crock-pot on low and let it get warm.
  2. Heat up the iron skillet, and add a tablespoon of butter.
  3. Fry the beef wieners in the iron skillet.
  4. When they have a good "fry" on the outside, sort of like you get if you grill them, remove and place inside of a fresh non-stale soft bun (I am very particular about my bread being soft and fresh)
  5. Immediately wrap the assembled bun and wiener in tin foil, sealing all edges.
  6. Place in crock-pot.
  7. Repeat with remaining buns and wieners.
  8. Cover the crock-pot and leave it alone.
  9. Heat up the chili in the microwave or on the stove.
  10. Prepare the other condiments.
  11. Get everything on the table, including drinks, chips, dip, whatever.
  12. Then get out one assembled dog at a time for each diner, keeping the rest in the crock-pot with lid on to remain warm.

These warm up really great. Simply take the bun and wiener combination out of aluminum foil (do not forget this step in order to avoid a nasty microwave incident), wrap loosely in a paper towel, and microwave about 10-15 seconds. Do not overdo it, the bun will get hard.

Alternate method: I tried this once and it was even better. Place a rack in the bottom of the crock-pot before adding hot dogs. Add one tablespoon or so of water. Be careful, you do not want to have the dog packets sitting in liquid. The idea is to lightly "steam" them instead.

I usually eat two hot dogs, each made as follows:

Version # 1: (ingredients are in the order used) mustard, ketchup, relish, chili sauce, cheese, onions

Version # 2: (ingredients are in the order used) mustard, relish, onions, sauerkraut, homemade coleslaw

Now, a note here about slaw. There are all kinds of different ways to make coleslaw. There is also slaw mix that can be bought in a bag. I am as particular about my slaw as I am about my bread. My momma made coleslaw pretty much the same way for years, and it always tasted good.

If you've ever eaten bad coleslaw, you'll remember it. Some fast food restaurants have the audacity to CALL it coleslaw, but it is more like tasteless cardboard "stuff." Did it ever seem to you that the slaw in many restaurants is often stark white, as if it is all made entirely from the cabbage core? Makes you wonder what happened to all of the GREEN stuff.

I'll be sure to place a link to my coleslaw recipe at the end of the article, so be sure and grab that and try it with these delicious stadium style hot dogs.

I am very picky about certain things: fresh bread is one; fresh milk is another; good tasting coleslaw is important; I think the hot dog chili sauce by Castleberry's is great; I use the Kraft Mexican style four cheese blend almost daily; I want to know what is in the meat I eat. However, to each his own. Enjoy!

Why Am I Still Hungry, Unsatisfied or Tired After I Eat?

Does hormone in-balance contribute to hunger, and is this related to a vitamin deficiency that contributes to hunger and loss of energy? Even disease?

I believe it does. I have never been on hormone replacement therapy, because, as I transitioned through menopause, I started having breast cysts, and I found out I had fibroids. These were both caused by an estrogen dominance. At my last physical in November 2011 (3 years after my last physical), my Ob-gyn told me my fibroids had shrunk (I never opted to remove them) and I have not had another breast cyst.

Yet, as I feel I have conquered this eating thing to at least maintain one size (you can too) without buying new clothes, I find that sometimes I am still hungry, and have that gnawing feeling of not quite feeling satisfied. The whole goal is to feel satisfied without eating more.

The closer I get to 60 (2.25 years away) I find that I can still discern the monthly times. Sometimes, I found as I neared the end of menopause, that I could cause a monthly cycle simply by eating something that would throw me out of whack. Simply eliminating the offending compound has enabled me to skip this monthly cycle. Maybe I am on the other side (Finally!) Have you had PMS all your life, been ravenously hungry before your period, and then it goes away when everything starts? Well, I believe the same thing happens even though there are no menses. I was ravenously hungry and could not get satisfied. After about 1-2 weeks, the drive to eat was gone, and I would no longer have unsatisfying times. I could once again feel like my old self and not feel the need to supplement.

I would supplement when I did not want to keep eating, during these stressful times. When stress would creep in and the cortisol would start rising, I would add all the anti-oxidants I thought I might low on. I would and still take vitamin C, and rhodiola for energy (and particularly good for Blood Type O). I use the homeopathic nutrients I recommend. If you find you are challenged as you transition through menopause, you may find you can choose homeopathic support, before you succumb to prescription medicine. If a doctor prescribes anti-depressant medicine and you know that this is not the problem, you may research for yourself, how to reduce stress and maybe even adrenal fatigue, to get yourself back to normal. Prescription medicine is harmful to your liver and kidneys. Eating whole foods is best. There are health issues listed under Supplements and the corresponding supplement recommended. Each of these supplements is composed of natural foods. When you read what they are made of, you may choose to eat more of "these".

The thing that happens when I go through these monthly cycles, is that I would get the feeling like I did with the old birth control pills. Always hungry and never satisfied. I knew there was a lot of estrogen in the older pills, and what I felt, was like that feeling of a lot of estrogen. Stress can cause the progesterone to be converted to cortisol, unbalancing the estrogen progesterone equilibrium. Aromastat is a natural blend of herbs, shown in clinical studies to inhibit the enzyme aromatase. Aromatase is an enzyme found in the liver that converts testosterone into estradiol and androstenedine into estrone. Thus its' primary action is to convert steroid hormones into estrogen class hormones.

Aromastat contains indole-3-carbinols, like those found in cuciferous vegetables like cabbage, brussells sprouts, cauliflower, collards and broccoli. These indole-3-carbinols, help transform dangerous estrogens into more benign forms, as recognized by the National Cancer Institute.

Chrysin found in the herb Passiflora Incarnata. The flavone Chrysin is a potent natural aromatase inhibitor. In 1993 Chrysin was tested with 10 other flavonoids and found to be superior to an aromatase inhibiting DRUG (aminoglutethemide). Scientists conducting the study concluded that the aromatase-inhibiting effect of certain flavonoids may contribute to the cancer preventative effect of certain plant-based diets.

Apigen found in most species of chamomile, the flavone apigen is also a safe and effective aromatase inhibitor, with inhibitory effectiveness about equal to that of chrysin.

The isoflavones in soy most notably genistein and diadzein were shown in studies to be potent aromatase inhibitors

Another homeopathic compound works in a different way to prevent cancer due to unbalanced hormones. The body's detoxification systems have a daily demand placed on them by both external and internal pollutants. This product is for those, whose systems carry the burden of additional demand, where specialized nutrition would help.

Calcium combined with Glucaric Acid to form Calcium D-Glucurate and the botanical Phyllanthus. Glucaric acid is found in small amounts in our bodies, and in fruits and vegetables. Calcium D-Glucarate is a form of glucarid acid, which is utilized in the body to enhance the process by which the body rids itself of potentially dangerous environmental pollutants, including foreign organic compounds, fat soluble toxins, and excess steroid hormones such as estrogen.

Some fruits and vegetables where glucaric acid is found is, oranges, apples, Brussels sprouts, broccoli and cabbage.

There is a lot of interest in using calcium D-glucarate for preventing estrogen related cancer such as breast cancer and other hormone related cancers. Calcium D-glucarate is thought to decrease estrogen levels by affecting estrogens' elimination. Estrogen is metabolized hepatically in phase II metabolism by combining with glucuronic acid. It is then excreted in the bile. Unfortunately a bacterial enzyme in the intestine called beta-glucuronidase normally breaks the estrogen-glucuronide bond, allowing estrogen to be reabsorbed. Calcium D-glucurate works at this step by inhibiting beta-glucuronidase. Blocking this enzyme is thought to decrease the amount of estrogen being resorbed to lower circulating estrogen levels. There is some evidence that beta-glucuronidase activity may be increased in patients with hormone-dependent cancers like breast and prostate cancer.

Finding what vegetables on these "lists" are optimal for you, may prevent cancer. If you hate these "vegetables" you can opt to take them in supplement form.

When you are starting out, and in your late 40's or early 50's, you may want to know what is causing your lack of energy. If the regular MD. says your iron is all right, you may want to see if you can lower your stress, and find out what is causing loss of energy. I found that (read that) Blood Type A's have low alkaline phosphatase, and do not absorb the Vitamin B's well. I started taking vitamin B and could not feel the difference, so I took the B-vitamin and anti-oxidant genetic test. Genetic tests are for all the Blood Types. This took some time, that is to feel the benefit of Vitamin B's Cleaning out my colon was key and took about 18-24 months. Do not give up! When I cleaned my colon, I found I could tell when a supplement was actually helping. This genetic test was "proof". Finally I felt like my old, younger, self. I found my energy! Check the amount of milligrams. Some people say 3000 mg per day. You can over do anything. The Methyl B supplement I take has 1000 mg per capsule, and is counter balanced with folate. I even eat Cheerios (cereals are fortified with Vitamin B's and Folate. (I no longer eat Shredded Wheat, Wheaties, Raisin Bran, or 40% Bran) I have found that wheat is genetically modified to create greater yield, and that wheat itself has It lost its' nutrient value.

I Recommend highly, the necessary basics. Vitamin D3 with K (Bone health, cancer prevention, colon health), Bilberry and Luteins and Zeaxanthins (macular degeneration, retina loss, even breast cancer reduction), and Omega 3's for heart and brain health (I prefer to eat mine every day) or Walnuts have a lot of omega 3's too. I also promote lots of green leafy vegetables, and add simple recipes for collard greens and kale in the e-mails. I do believe The Doctors TV and Dr. Oz, that these 3 are the absolute minimum three to prevent inflammation, and cancer and disease. I supplement these three, because I do not get out in the sun enough, and I can not eat enough blueberries and blackberries.

I have listed what works for me, and how I adjust for changes in hormone levels during the month. Are you able to discern what works for you, by yourself? Give eating your highly beneficial foods a good long try, at least 18 months, see what it does for you. I know you will feel a difference. Learning to deal with stress, and getting your adrenal fatigue under control, will do well, to put you on the path toward healing.

To see how to put this together for your own blood type, opt in for the keys to basic health. Honestly believe the 10 keys, and then use the e-mails to learn how to put your own eating plan together, and how to use the blood type diet most efficiently. There are also some simple recipes to help you get to your goals faster.
